As President of SCMTA, I have greatly enjoyed serving and collaborating with the wonderful teachers and students of South Carolina! I hope you will make plans to attend the 54th Annual Conference on the Anderson University campus!

Prize-winning pianist and recording artist, Lucille Chung, will perform a recital and conduct a master class. World-renowned pedagogue, Ingrid Jacobson Clarfield, will present two teaching workshops and a master class for intermediate pianists. There will also be a world premiere, and student poster sessions and presentations!

Any SCMTA member conference attendee may bring ONE prospective member as a guest. The guest’s conference registration and artist’s concert will be complimentary, but meals must be reserved and paid for in advance by contacting SCMTA Treasurer Kathleen Nungesser. Persons attending the conference free of charge must be a first-time conference attendee, live in or have a studio in the State of South Carolina, be the guest of an SCMTA member attending the conference, and may not be a former SCMTA member. Take advantage of this opportunity to invite potential members!

This conference will be a great occasion to renew old friendships, establish new connections, and interact with the most leading performers and pedagogues in our field. I look forward to seeing all of you!
