Valerie Kasmir
Valerie Kasmir is the founder and Master Teacher of Lessons On The Lake Music Arts Academy in North Carolina. Her mission is to enrich lives through the majestic effects of music. She holds a BA in Music Education and a Master’s degree in Education. She has served 13 years as a Music teacher in the Public School sector teaching grades K – 12. She has been teaching, performing, recording, and writing over 29 years. Valerie’s Master thesis was on “The Benefits of Group Piano Lessons.” She has also written “The Piano Parent Coach.”
Josh Mills
Josh Mills is a Senior at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. He will graduate this upcoming Spring with a degree in Music Performance with a concentration on Music Technology and Production. He has studied Classical piano both privately and at the university for the past 3 years. He views music technology as a tool that can be utilized by musicians, teachers, and students alike.
Soohyun Yun
Pianist, Dr. Soohyun Yun, born in Korea, has explored solo and chamber music from baroque to contemporary and performed in venues throughout Asia, Europe, and the US. In 2016, she won first prize at the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition. As an active presenter, clinician, writer, and adjudicator, Dr. Yun has appeared in local, state, national, and international venues, including the World Piano Conference in Novi Sad, Serbia; Korean piano pedagogy conferences; and MTNA national conferences. She holds degrees from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Yonsei University in Korea. Currently, Dr. Yun serves as Director of Piano Studies at Charleston Southern University and teaches studio and group piano.
