This spring, in honor of 60 years of SCMTA, we will host our SCMTA State Audition Celebration through an online only platform. We will waive the theory/technique requirements for auditions this year, and students need only to perform repertoire based on the repertoire requirements for each instrument and division. Our adjudicators will still provide critiques with ratings and choose recitalists and alternates.
We will ask students to upload videos to Youtube (unlisted videos are encouraged), and teachers will copy the links directly into the online application form. Registration deadline including all performance links will be April 16, 2021.
- Repertoire only (no theory/technique requirements)
- One virtual round, with winners chosen
- Available for piano, woodwinds, brass, strings, and vocalists
