The SCMTA State Pre-College Piano Auditions were held April 27, at the USC School of Music in Columbia. Of the 326 students who had participated in District Auditions in the previous weeks, 203 were eligible to advance to the state level and 176 played in Columbia.
Nine judges selected 11 students (nine solo and two concerto) to perform on the Honors Recital to be held on May 18, at 4:00 pm in the USC School of Music Recital Hall.
