The SCMTA State Pre-College Piano Auditions were held April 28, at the USC School of Music in Columbia. Of the 342 students who had participated in District Auditions in the previous weeks, 236 were eligible to advance to the state level and 208 played in Columbia.
Nine judges selected 12 students (10 solo and two concerto) to perform on the Honors Recital to be held on May 19, at 4:00 pm in the USC School of Music Recital Hall.
