Composers with present or past residence in South Carolina are invited to apply for the South Carolina Music Teachers Association 2020 Commissioned Composer Award. The composer selected will receive a $1500 cash prize ($750 from SCMTA matched by MTNA) and will be advanced to eligibility for the MTNA Distinguished Composer of the Year. The work will be premiered at the SCMTA 2020 conference at the University of South Carolina in November.
